The safety of people, environment and property is a major concern in society that affects and involves both Administration and the private initiative in any industry (industrial, services, ...), and it is closely linked with the managerial and entrepreneurial excellence.
Industrial safety is to prevent and limit risks and to protect against accidents or unexpected events capable of causing damage or injury to persons. Likewise, the flora, fauna, property or the environment are affected by industrial activity. The use and maintenance of facilities or equipment, the production itself, the use or consumption of raw materials, storage or disposal of industrial products significantly affects the environment. This industrial safety uses a series of specific regulations to require designs, uses and safe maintenance of oil facilities, chemical storage, electrical, gas appliances and so on of various equipment and facilities.
Similarly the various government offices, have developed outside the legal scope of industrial security, laws, regulations and techniques related to prevention and risk control. These provide a good basis for developing preventive actions and therefore the self-protection. An example is the Law of Occupational Hazard or the Standard Selfprotection and the selfprotection addressed through the Basic Guidelines for Civil Protection Planning and the Special Plan for specific risks.
Also in this regard we include an increasingly public awareness and the authorities level of requirement to be prepared against possible contingencies in the Essential Public Services.
